Sumika Polymer Compounds recognise its responsibility to effectively use the Earth's limited resources and protect the global environment. Our group research is progressively directed towards the development of renewable resources including PLA and leading edge low density PP compounds and foaming technologies.
Due care and regard is taken of the effects on the environment from each of our manufacturing processes. We endeavour to reuse, recycle or reprocess, the majority of waste material created within our production processes. We do not emit or dispose of any hazardous wastes from our factories other than in approved ways or to licensed facilities. Nor do we use CFC gases in production, or raw materials which themselves have been made using CFC's. We must not expose our employees to potentially hazardous risks arising from production processes or materials.
In addition, as part of our continuing drive to reduce operating costs, particular attention is given to minimising the consumption of energy resources.
We firmly believe that our industry will continue to play an increasingly important role and offer a variety of opportunities to society in the future. Our management places the utmost importance on constant efforts to promote environmental protection, thereby fulfilling our social responsibilities, gaining public trust, and improving our competitiveness.
