Sumika Polymer Compounds is fundamentally committed to providing its products and services in a manner which conforms to the specified requirements of its customers as a minimum and exceed them as an objective. In order to achieve this objective it is our policy to maintain an effective Quality Assurance programme, planned and developed in conjunction with all management functions. We are delighted to have been awarded accreditation at all our European sites to the standard of ISO 9001:2008. This achievement is an excellent example of Sumika Polymer Compound's passion for being 'best in class'. The quality system ensures procedural controls over all the activities that effect the quality of the product and service that Sumika Polymer Compound provides.

The quality strategy is based on key objectives to build quality in and not inspect out by building strong quality teams with real empowerment to effect change. The enthusiasm to use continuous improvement to identify and introduce best practice/standards is instilled within the business.This is demonstrated by our commitment to achieving TS16949. The overall aim of this approach being to minimise the cost of quality, to maximise profit and encourage customer satisfaction.

The Sumika Polymer Compounds quality principle is to give full responsibility for the quality and security of each activity to the trained administrator, technician or operative performing the activity. It is the role of 'Quality' management in each department to ensure compliance. To this end all company managers have a quality role, with final control being vested with the Managing Directors of the operating sites.
